Andrea Hunt- Owner/Designer
Andrea started her lifelong dream of being a florist in sunny San Diego, California in 2011. She is a Midwestern girl at heart who has been lucky enough to have called some of the greatest cities in our country home; New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Diego, and Hilo, Hawaii. Her adventures throughout the years have provided her with ample inspiration and enriched her creative spirit. She studied theater, along with dance and voice, all the while dabbling in painting and creative writing. Her creative energy pours out into her bouquets and arrangements.
In 2016 she moved her family and business from Hawaii to her hometown of Champaign, Illinois to be close to extended family and to root her business. In 2021 Andrea opened The CU Flower House by A. Hunt Design offering custom arrangements for everyday floral design needs, weddings, and events, as well as Celebration of Life/Funeral flowers. The Flower House is also a CO-OP space for small businesses from the Champaign/Urbana area. It is also a private event space and event rental company.
Andrea calls herself a Master of Manifestation. “We become what we believe we are.”
Sarah Aden – Celebration of Life Director & Senior Designer
Sarah is a California girl who started her floral career in 1997. She studied Art and Film at the University of California Santa Cruz and moved to the Midwest to raise her family. Sarah has extensive experience and knowledge in floral design as well as photography and art.
Sarah is the head of the Funeral and Celebration of Life services offered at A. Hunt Design. She has a phenomenal design eye and ability to connect with families to bring light and love through flowers during an emotional time.
Sarah is also the owner of The Silver Acre. A collective of calendars, notebooks, and note card show casing her original photography.
A. Hunt Design is lucky to have Sarah as one of the lead designers at the CU flower house. She is behind the scenes Tuesday through Saturday making the magic happen.
Addison Collins – Flower House Jr. Designer
Addison comes to us from beautiful Mahomet Illinois where she graduated and excelled in academics, sports, and the arts.
‘Addie’ is an old soul with an incredible eye for design and color theory. Her attention to detail, work ethic, and creativity are a positive force at The CU Flower House. We are lucky to have her.
Addie is also the Co-Owner of CU Happy Hat, a mobile Trucker Hat Design Bar here in Champaign/Urbana. Look for amazing things from this young entrepreneur.
You can find Ms. Collins at The CU Flower House 5 days a week and at various events and festivals around town.
